An Unexpected Treatment | GrandMaster Zhou Ting-Jue

It was a cold day. I woke up with lower back pain and did not want to leave my bed, but I did for my mother's sake. The date was May 18, 2013, and we were headed to San Francisco, where the 15th Annual Conference of Qigong & TCM was being held. I found the tickets on sale and thought, why not? I did not have much experience with Qigong philosophy other than the basics with my uncle, who chose not to come along.

As we sat in the lectures and participated in the exercises, a small man entered the room with an interpreter who did not have much to say since he used few words. His name is Master Zhou Ting-Jue and is considered the “Jewel of China.” He opened a pack of foil, poured a glass of the communal water we had all partaken from, and opened a pack of paper towels.

He then asked for six people to join him on stage so he could begin his demonstration. Naturally, I walked up and sat down next to five other people, and he began his treatment.

After folding the foil, wrapping it in a paper towel, and dipping it into the glass of water, he was ready to begin. He then placed the tool on each of our legs, and it became VERY hot within moments. All he would do was wave his hand over his contraption.

He then paused when he got to my back and pushed me over! He placed the flat paper towel and foil on my back, and lo and behold, my back felt great after he emitted his Qi into me. I was astounded. I was distracted. I was healed. He moved on after a few moments, but the feeling did not leave me.

When I stood, I felt light and more alert. This sensation stayed with me for over a week and inspired me to train harder and learn as much as I could about Traditional Chinese Medicine and its application with Qigong therapy.

Thank you, Master Zhou, for your unexpected treatment!
