Our very own Qi-ologist, Dr. Dan, leads weekly classes for Taijiquan Qigong (Tai-jee-chu-wan Chee-gong), the healing side of martial arts. We gather in gratitude for our health, ability to practice, and healing community.

Why We 'Qi Up' Like Zumbi

Dr. Dan and Baba Zumbi trained together until his tragic passing in August 2021. Zumbi's catch-phrase was “Qi Up” whenever he was headed out to practice Qigong or Taijiquan so we all started using it.


Through training, Zumbi and Dr. Dan began establishing an Academy to merge the cultures of hip-hop and martial arts; bridging self-care and self-defense with Qigong Taijiquan's lifestyle and hip-hop's swag.


Qi Up Academy represents Zumbi's dream to bring peace, love, unity, having fun, walking in light, trusting spirit, trusting ourselves, trusting our intuition, in the name of a healthy humanity.

Tuesday Community Taiji Qigong

Every Tuesday from 6:30pm - 7:30pm

Invigorate your weekly self-care routine with the ancient movement art of Taiji Qigong for health. 


We meet at 6:30pm every Tuesday for a grounding, challenging, light-hearted time of regenerative movement.

Thursday Premium Taiji Qigong

Every Thursday from 6:30pm - 9:00pm

Explore our advanced premium classes taught by Sifu Dave and Sifu Andrew!


We meet at 6:30pm every Thursday for a grounding, challenging, light-hearted time of push hands, forms, advanced applications, and weapons!
